1. Payment Overview
All orders placed through the UKDJ website must be paid for in full before goods are dispatched, unless a separate payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Payments are processed securely through Shopify-supported payment gateways. The payment options available to you may vary depending on your device, location, basket value and the payment services enabled at checkout.
Please note: An order confirmation email confirms that we have received your order, but it does not guarantee acceptance or dispatch. Orders remain subject to availability, payment approval and our standard order checks.

3. Shopify Payment Gateways
Our online checkout uses Shopify-supported payment gateway services. This means your payment is handled by secure third-party payment providers integrated with Shopify, rather than being processed directly by our website server.
UKDJ does not store your full card details. Payment information is handled securely by the relevant payment provider in accordance with their own security and compliance standards.
Available payment methods may change from time to time as Shopify, payment providers or UKDJ update checkout options.
4. When Payment Is Taken
Payment is normally taken at the time your order is placed. Your order will then be reviewed and processed by our team.
If an item is unavailable, incorrectly priced, discontinued or affected by a stock issue, we may contact you before dispatch. Where necessary, we may offer an alternative product, amended delivery timescale or refund.
5. Payment Security
Checkout payments are processed through secure Shopify-supported payment gateways. These providers use security measures designed to protect payment information and help prevent unauthorised transactions.
For your protection, additional checks such as 3D Secure, bank authentication or identity verification may be required by your card issuer or payment provider.
6. Failed or Declined Payments
If your payment is declined, your order may not be completed. Declined payments can occur for a number of reasons, including insufficient funds, incorrect card details, bank security checks or payment provider restrictions.
- Please check that your payment details are entered correctly.
- Contact your bank or payment provider if the payment continues to fail.
- Try an alternative payment method if one is available at checkout.
7. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will normally be processed back to the original payment method used for the order.
Once issued, refund timescales may vary depending on your bank, card issuer or payment provider. We cannot control how long your bank or payment provider takes to make the funds available to you.
Refunds are processed in accordance with our Returns Policy, your statutory rights and any applicable warranty terms.
8. Payment Processing Fees
Some payment gateways charge transaction or processing fees when an order is placed. These fees are charged by the payment provider for processing the transaction.
Important: Where an order is cancelled or returned due to change of mind, payment processing fees are non-refundable. Any non-refundable processing fee may be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.
This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or incorrectly supplied.
9. Billing Details
Please ensure your billing information is accurate when placing your order. Incorrect billing details may cause payment delays, failed transactions or additional verification checks.
For security reasons, we may be unable to amend certain payment or billing details after an order has been placed.
10. Fraud Prevention & Order Checks
To protect our customers and our business, orders may be subject to fraud prevention checks before dispatch.
We reserve the right to request additional information, delay dispatch, cancel an order or refund a payment where we are unable to verify the transaction or where suspicious activity is detected.
